Requirements for the production of eurocontainers of 1.1 cubic meters

Euro containers 1.1 m³ – production requirements and characteristics
The production of 1.1 m³ Euro containers is regulated by the DSTU 8476-2015 standard, which defines the basic requirements for the design, materials, safety and operational characteristics of products.
Euro containers are intended for the collection and temporary storage of solid household waste and must be compatible with specialized garbage collection equipment.
Basic requirements for the design of Euro containers
1.1 m³ Euro containers must meet the following technical requirements:
1. Compatibility with equipment
Containers must be adapted for mechanized unloading of waste into specialized vehicles and compatible with their lifting mechanisms.
2. Manufacturing materials
Metal containers are made of hot-rolled or cold-rolled structural steel sheets of various thicknesses and profiles, which ensures the strength and durability of the structure.
3. Protective coating
The following types of coatings are allowed for protection against corrosion and aggressive environments:
- paint coating – in accordance with GOST 9.032, GOST 9.402, GOST 9.104;
- galvanic coating (zinc plating) – in accordance with GOST 9.307;
- polymer coating.
The use of other modern coatings that ensure resistance to operation in the open air and in conditions of exposure to household waste is allowed.
Operational requirements
4. Wheel base
Mobile containers must be equipped with wheels for movement on a flat horizontal surface.
5. Maneuverability
The wheel system must ensure:
rotation of the container in place;
movement in any direction.
6. Brake system
Four-wheeled containers must be equipped with brakes on at least two wheels with a foot pedal drive to fix the position.
7. Handles for transportation
The design must provide handles on all sides of the body for convenient manual movement by workers.
8. Container lid
The Euro container is equipped with a hinged or rotating lid, hingedly attached to the body, which ensures ease of use and hygiene.
Safety and reliability requirements
9. User safety
The container design must eliminate or minimize the risk of injury during operation.
10. Stability
The container must be resistant to tipping over even with uneven loading.
11. Environmental safety of materials
Materials must be non-toxic, safe for human health and the environment.
12. Sanitary requirements
Materials must not promote the development of microflora, must withstand regular disinfection, temperature fluctuations and the effects of the aggressive environment of household waste.
